About

Our mission is to bridge blockchain technology with traditional legal systems. Through research, education, and the creation of new technologies, we aim to transform how laws are created, interpreted, and enforced.

The Three Pillars of Our Work

1. Technology Development

We develop and promote the technological foundations necessary for decentralized legal systems. This includes creating frameworks for Smart Contract Blocks, Consensus Jurisdictions, Decentralized Autonomous Associations, and the publication of laws on the blockchain. This website serves as a hub for understanding these technologies and tracking their development in real time.

2. Law Bridging

We aim to merge blockchain standards with enforceable legal structures. This involves developing arbitration systems, developing governing laws to accommodate blockchain technology, and supporting the judicial acceptance. Through our publications and resources, we help bridge the gap between technology and the law.

3. Protecting Financial Liberty

We advocate for the protection of fundamental liberties, particularly regarding financial freedom and peer-to-peer transactions. New legal frameworks like the Decentralized Bill of Liberties and Freedom of the Nodes aim to protect these essential liberties. Our website provides access to these foundational documents and tracks their implementation.

Comprehensive Vision

For a deeper understanding of the complete vision, we invite you to read the book, Decentralized Law: The Power of Blockchain to Transform the Broken Legal System. This comprehensive work traces 2,500 years of legal history, analyzes the legality of blockchain technologies, and presents innovative legal concepts for the 21st century. This book serves as the philosophical and practical foundation for all our work.

Join us in shaping a future where law empowers voluntary cooperation, and where financial liberty is protected for all!

The Author: Wesley Thysse

Wesley started his career in finance. He worked as a project controller at Multi Real Estate, a large developer of iconic shopping malls in Europe. He later settled in Dubai where, as a corporate service provider, he assisted entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals with international tax planning and legal structuring.

In 2014, he moved to Asia and started a small consultancy firm. He has since helped 100’s of SME’s, digital nomads, bitcoin investors and HNW-individuals with international tax and regulatory challenges. In 2016, he created the world’s most visited website on transfer pricing (the latest hot topic in international tax law). He also co-wrote a text book for students and a training course on the topic. The website and educational material is published by boutique tax law firm Thysse de Lange Limited, of which he is the Managing Partner.

In 2017, he started researching the decentralized legal projects, and realized that most of them miss a link to the real world. He set out to merge technology with law and resulted in the Decentralized Legal System.

In 2021, after writing a number of viral articles on upcoming crypto-regulation, Wesley embarked on journey to truly understand the crossroads between blockchain technology and law. This four year labor resulted in the book Decentralized Law: The Power of Blockchain to Transform the Broken Legal System. He made the book available for free because of the urgency of the message and the need for legal reform…
